Labour Day is one of the most important days in May and is celebrated across the world. Antarrashtriya Shramik Diwas or Kamgar Din is the name given to Labour Day in India.
Lucknow Public School, Kalindi Park Branch celebrated this day by paying respect to the people who work for the school.
The teachers briefed the children about Labour Day and its importance. The children expressed gratitude by giving flowers to the sub staff, bus driver, peon, guard etc. the support staff were over whelmed by this act of thankfulness and enjoyed the day.
The Principal of the school Mrs. Manisha N Pathak shared her views on the occasion. She said that they are unsung heroes, backbone of our society, who work day / night for us. She thanked each one and said that they work tirelessly and they deserve due respect and recognition.
Over all it was a fruitful day which taught our little ones to be thankful to everyone. They also learned the dignity of labour.
